Anonymous asked: Hi. Not a lesbian. Actually, I am a straight guy. Just happened to stumble upon this site. I do take some offense to your "processing" post. I think that it is kind of absurd to say (or at least imply) that only lesbians do what you call "processing" and that it is something that happens across the lesbian community. I know that I "process," or at least do something similar, in my heterosexual relationships. I also have a lesbian friend that doesn't "process." At least not too much. Just FYI.

congratulations on processing in your own relationship, and thus being a decent person? no one ever said it was a lesbian-exclusive thing. it’s a thing decent human beings do instead of just not talking about stuff and treating their partners like shit. this site is riddled with something wonderful called humor and sarcasm, so if it’s implied that “all queer ladies do it” then it’s also implied that “we are being sarcastic, obviously no one can ever speak for the habit of every single queer person.” also why are you speaking for your lesbian friend? i’d rather speak to her about this if she has a genuine issue with any of these posts, which i feel like she doesn’t.

i hate to say this but i don’t actually give a fuck what a straight cis dude takes offense to in the queer community, even if it’s a humorous post poking fun at our own habits. this is a safe space for queer people, not for you, sorry i’m not sorry. if you feel alienated or offended by something on this site, newsflash: we feel alienated and offended by your entire culture. just FYI.
